Toyota Tacoma Trim Levels
The new Toyota Tacoma has 11 trim levels to choose from.
- Toyota Tacoma SR - The SR trim model comes standard with the 228-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the infotainment system and the safety suite.
- Toyota Tacoma SR5 - The SR5 trim model comes with the 278-horsepower turbocharged-four engine and coil-spring rear suspension in the crew cab model.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD PreRunner - The PreRunner trim model adds an electronically-controlled locking rear differential.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport - The Sport trim model has performance-tuned suspension and the availability of manual transmission.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road - The Off-Road trim model is enhanced with Bilstein monotube shocks with remote reservoirs and the six-speed manual transmission as an available feature.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Limited - The Limited trim model adds the availability of Adaptive Variable Suspension and comes with 18-inch chrome-finish alloy wheels and exterior accents.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport i-FORCE MAX - The TRD Sport i-FORCE MAX trim model comes with the hybrid powertrain, a TRD sport-tuned suspension and a 2400-watt power supply.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX - The TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX trim model adds the hybrid powertrain and Bilstein monotube shocks.
- Toyota Tacoma Limited i-FORCE MAX - The Limited i-FORCE MAX trim model also has the hybrid powertrain, Adaptive Variable Suspension and the chrome wheels with exterior accents.
- Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter - The Trailhunter trim model has the hybrid powertrain, Old Man Emu forged monotube position-sensitive shocks, a high-clearance front bumper, rock rails and an ARB rear bumper with recovery hooks.
- Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro - The TRD Pro trim model comes with FOX Internal Bypass QS3 shocks and a dampening seating system.
Toyota Tacoma Performance
New for the Toyota Tacoma powertrain offerings. At the base trim level, you get a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 228 horsepower. Choose any trim model other than the base, and you get another turbocharged-four cylinder that cranks out 278 horsepower. You can either get your Toyota Tacoma with an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The Toyota Tacoma gets up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway and up to 21 miles per gallon with this powertrain. There also is a hybrid variant of the Toyota Tacoma that adds a 48-horsepower electric motor to crank out 326 horsepower total. The Toyota Tacoma can tow up to 6,500 pounds, so you can head out to the woods with your camping trailer or toy hauler. It can haul up to 1,705 pounds.
Toyota Tacoma Interior and Exterior Design
This new Toyota truck has a brawny, angular front fascia. You can choose between a Toyota Tacoma with an extended cab or a double cab for your Wooster-area lifestyle. You can also choose between a five- or six-foot cargo bed length. The seating positions and headroom have been raised on the Toyota Tacoma as part of its redesign. Also, the dashboard materials have been upgraded. Heated and cooled front seating is an available feature.
Toyota Tacoma Technology and Features
Along with the redesign for this model year, the Toyota Tacoma also received a new infotainment system. There are two sizes of infotainment touchscreen available, and both have wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity as a standard feature. A heads-up display, wireless charging and a JBL sound system are available features.
Toyota Tacoma Safety
This truck comes with Toyota Safety Sense™, a standard safety suite that includes adaptive cruise control, a frontal collision warning system with emergency braking, a lane-departure warning system with a lane-keeping assistant and automated high beams. Available safety features include a blind-spot monitoring system with a rear-cross traffic alert for your safety on whatever roads you travel.
